Emily Brontë published Wuthering Heights under the pseudonym, Ellis Bell, in December of 1847. The novel was published in two volumes, alongside Anne Brontë's Agnes Grey, published in a single volume and together forming a typical, Victorian, three-volume or "triple-decker" work.
