This class sets out to debunk the myth of the solitary genius and replace it with the idea of the network. We will explore the many different kinds of connections and collaborations among writers from the Romantic period to the early Modernist period. Along the way we will discover lost writers overlooked even though they were crucial to the development of more famous authors.
