Edinburgh medical

Type: Gallery Image | Not Vetted

This is photo important because “The Body Snatcher” was based the gruesome activities that took place in order to better and improve the knowledge of human anatomy and physiology in medical practices and schools like the University of Edinburgh medical. This school currently holds an annual service to commemorate and remember those who donated their bodies for the study at Greyfairs Kirk. This is significant because it shows just how impacted the community of Edinburgh was by the resurrectionist era. The practice of holding an event that respects the doners who gave up their bodies for the upbringing of the medical field shows a sense of morality by acknowledging the sacrifices made during these hard times in the United Kingdom.
