Nearly 30% of the New Jersey labor force are foreign-born workers 

Hudson, Union, and Middlesex County are dependent on the immigrant workers as they make up over 40% of their labor force 

65.9% of foreign-born workers are actively working or actively looking for work compared to 61.5% native-born workers. As well as a record high of 18.1% foreign-born workers that are in the most critical labor shortages such as health care and social services
