Mary Prince was a slave in Bermuda, Turks Island, and Antigua, she eventually escaped to London. In London she worked with the Anti Slave Society and eventually became the first black woman to write and publish an autobiography. She also went on to present an anti slavery petition to parliment being the first woman to do so.
