Norfolk is a county in England near Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire. The county town is Norwich. It was settled pre-Roman times and was long vulnerable to invasions from Scandinavia. In the fifth century, the Angles had taken control. Norfolk is a popular tourist destination for its seaside resorts and beaches. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle conceived of The Hound of the Baskervilles while on holiday here.
