Mae Clarke was an actress who was born on August 16, 1910. She had been in multiple films created by Universal Studios. She is most famously remembered for playing the role of Elizabeth from the film Frankenstein, but had also played a role in the films The Public Enemy and The Front Page. Before she became an actress, she marched in the Miss America Pageant Parade. She started her professional career as a dancer in New York City. As she got older, she was married and divorced three times to Lew Brice, Stevens Bancroft, and Herbert Langdon, and had no children. She sadly passed on April 29, 1992 due to cancer at age 81, after becoming a Hollywood star.
