Slay the Princess

Type: Gallery Image | Not Vetted

In this horror-adventure game, instead of saving the princess, the goal is to slay the princess. You travel through the woods to get to a cabin where you find the beautiful princess in the basement chained to the wall and surrounded by darkness. The setting is particularly noteworthy not only due to its unsettling nature, but because the cabin becomes distorted or completely morphs into something new each time the storyline does (and there are several). This adds to the suspenseful aspect of the game and is usually revealing of what state the princess will be in, as her form/personality also distorts, sometimes turning her into a ghoulish or monstrous creature.

This game is filled with many Gothic themes, some of which include violence, self-discovery, power dynamics, isolation, and supression/secrets.
