Thomas 1 innocent

Innocent For my photos I decided to choose something simple and went right outside in my own neighborhood. I live in a very rural part of Covington that has only become a suburban neighborhood in the past 6 years. For the innocent eye approach, I just focused on the general neighborhood, point blank, with the first picture I took as a picturesque look at average American suburbia. Essentially I just took a picture of the first thing I saw without editing. You have several houses all right next to each other with families and pets walking around every day, as well as cars, mailboxes, and garages everywhere. To me this symbolizes just how much time comes and goes since these houses and families were not always here, but there is also the sense of comfort and familiarity in coming home to these sights.

Constructed The innocent eye approach more or less worked for me at least because when I look at it I see somewhere I can be safe and trust right now, in a world full of dangerous chaos at this moment in time. The people around me are nice and
trustworthy and the views are calming and serene. There is a sense of simplicity and rural/suburban comfort that just feels relaxing. There is something aboutvthese photos that reminds me that people took this big empty plot of land and made it a nice little community for locals to just enjoy their days.

Argument: The same sight where I took the photos I decided to zoom in and focus on one of the most out of place looking things in the neighborhood. There is a giant warehouse right on the other side of the neighborhood with a purpose I still do not know what is for, but it has been there for at least a couple of years now. It really stands in the way of the idea of the picturesque suburban landscape and shows a more industrial/urban side of the area. It is one of those aspects that really sticks out like a sore thumb especially since it is the biggest building in the proximity of the neighborhood, towering over all of the
housing.
