Vancouver British Columbia is significant to Frankenstein because it is the home of the acting troop that Boris Karloff was working with when he was discovered and approached to act as Frankensteins monster. I found this information from a newsletter about the history of Canada. The source is an example of consumer culture because people must seek out the news letter and there is no option for them to edit the information, you're just reading it and moving on. Adding this location to the COVE map adds a grass roots layer to the story because it gives you better insight into the background of one of the most important characters.
