What's New, Scooby-Doo? - The Vampire Strikes Back (2003)

Type: Gallery Image | Not Vetted

This episode is like any other of the Scooby-Doo series.  The gang comes across a mystery and pieces together clues to solve a mystery.  This particular episode takes place in a remote European village known for its vampire lore.  The specific location is an old castle that is crumbling.  It has hidden passageways, eerie vibes and secrets.  The mystery revolves around a vampire that is frightening the band, The Hex Girls.  The atmosphere is very Gothic with dimly lit interiors, creepy rooms thunder, lightening and fog.  The idea of doubles is the main focus of the episode and mystery.  The gang discovers this after seemingly catching the vampire.  They believe that they have resolved the situation when another vampire shows up, who looks identical to the first one.  Velma does some research and finds a photo of who she thinks is Steve Fortescu looking at himself in a mirror.  When the mystery is solved and the second vampire is caught, it is revealed that Steve has a twin brother named Stew Fortescu.  Doubling in this episode is very literal as there are two people who are identical twins.
