An Old Soldier's Story
An Old Soldier's Story
George Weslow
As my mind probes deep
into the depths of Hell,
I remember an old soldier
with a story to tell.
He said "Son", I've fought in wars
since before you were born,
I've seen its victims
their bodies all twisted and torn.
God, Protect the Grunts
God Protect the Grunts
George Weslow
I know there's a God in Heaven above
Guarding me with his undying love
But God, let me ask a favor if I may
Please protect the grunts from day to day.
If Fuji Could Talk She'd Scream

Fuji to the North,
Dagger to the West,
Feather to the South,
And cedars to the East.
The impact zone
For the big guns to play,
Is lined with targets
For direct fire today.
If I Could
If I Could
George Weslow
To want... is to need,... to need... is to love, and to love... To love?? God... if only time could be altered! For just a little while, would then I be richer than the knight victorious astride his golden steed!
Would that not then be life amongst the nearly dead? Would that not be richer than the wealthiest of men?
In the Springtime
In the Springtime

Free is the wind
as it whistles through the trees,
whispering its lonliness
carried on the breeze.
Pine needles float down
landing soft as a pillow,
and poetically in motion
sways the sad old willow.
Searching for Something
Searching for Something
George Weslow
The night is very dark
And I'm feeling alone,
It sure will be nice
To hop that big bird home.
One-hundred and twenty
And I'll be on my way,
Lord... how I'm waiting
For that very last day.

Who is that child sitting by herself
underneath that big elm tree,
she looks so alone there
will someone please tell me?
