Lambeth is a district in the modern borough of Lambeth, in South (London, England). It was originally the site of Lambeth Palace and Lambeth Marsh, which was drained in the 18th century. It was urbanised in the 18th century and had been the site of entertainment venues outside of inner city regulations. It grew in the industrial revolution and industry included delftware (since the 17th century) and later the Royal Doulton Pottery company.
