At 13 Hercules Road in Lambeth, William Blake and his wife Catherine operated a small print shop — a quiet site of resistance tucked into industrial London. It was here that Blake engraved and hand-painted Songs of Innocence and Experience, defying the era’s shift toward mass production. Each illuminated plate was an act of spiritual and political defiance, crafted with personal labor and vision. Mapping this space reminds us that protest doesn’t always roar; sometime it’s carved slowly into copper and lit by hand.
