Just before the ending year of World War 2 Orwell finished Animal Farm (1944) which is arguably his most famous piece, despite the difficulty of getting it published. That was soon overshadowed by his next novel Nineteen Eighty Four (1949). This was written after his long resentment against the Natzism and Stalinism. His final novel of Nineteen Eighty Four (1949) in his remote house in Hebriden island which he worked on in between his hospital visits. George Orwell soon passed away in January 1950 in London.
