New York, New York marks a change in my life because it was the first big city I ever went to, first plane ride, etc. I specifically chose my favorite pizza spot because it's REALLY good.
If someone else were researching this place, they'd find it through articles about all of the famous celebrities who went there. It's really well-known because of the celebrities, but the pizza's really good and it holds up even without the reputation.
This location shows a change in daily life because I grew up with anxiety (both of which I had been working on for years). Going to New York was one of my biggest breakthroughs because of the sheer amount of people. It gave me a sense of perspective. It also taught me that I love big cities (which is the opposite of my family) and the world is a lot smaller (in a reassuring way) than I was taught.
Mapping this place reveals my biggest trip to see another part of the world (so far). It's not really a small, ordinary place, but it holds a lot of significance for me. I think back on it fondly and it feels a lot smaller than it actually is.
