"I was recording Muscogee Stomp Dance songs when I came across a Creek lullaby sung by. a young gitl named Margaret at Haskell around 1919. It struck me as odd that I, a young woman of Muscogee, Seminole, and Cherokee blood who grew up removed from my tribes and languages who was at boarding school as her language and culture were being forced from her." - Carolyn Marie Dunn
