Dorothy's House is significant to the book-to-movie adaptation because it is a 1907 farmhouse that was once owned by two families prior to it being designated as "Dorothy's House," and it is from the same decade that the original Oz books were created. I found this information on the museum's website. This source is an example of participatory culture because visitors are learning about the story while participating in it through guided tours. Mapping this place on COVE allows future students to build on what I found sense it connects the story to a real place and real experience
