The Leopoldskron Palace in Salzburg, Austria is significant to The Sound of Music because that is where the scenes in the Von Trapp house in the movie are filmed at. Although the real life Von Trapp house is also in Salzburg, Austria, the Leopoldskron Palace is not the original house the Von Trapp Family lived in like it is portrayed in the movie. I found this information from a movie location tour website. The information for the page was given by a fan walking tour and is credited at the bottom of the article. This source is an example of Peer Mentorship because it was made by a fan of the movie who put research into the location and was produced to let other fans of the movie know where each of the scenes were filmed and were to visit them. Mapping this location on COVE makes the location the actual movie was filmed at versus the real life location, which makes visible a place a "gatekeeper" platform might otherwise bury/not put emphasis on.
