The Bronx Zoo marks a change in my life because, growing up, my family and I used to go often. I loved learning about animals as a kid, so it was always fun to see all the animals and watch them interact with each other or their environments. My favorite exhibit was the sea lion pool because it sat in the middle of the zoo so you could see it while walking in and the sea lions were always so talkative. The last time we went before moving was after a vacation overseas, and that zoo trip really stuck with me because one, it was the last time we went and two, it signified growing up and saying goodbye to a part of childhood I cherished. I remember soaking it all up for one final time as we walked through all of the exhibits, sad to leave it behind yet happy that I got to experience it. If someone else were researching this place, they'd find it on the website, which explains the zoo's history, mission, etc. It also showcases the different exhibits they have and the different animals. Mapping this place reveals how a local zoo can hold a thousand differing memories and experiences.
