Belton New Tech @ Waskow High School.

Belton, Texas marks a change in my life because it was where I spent most of my childhood and high school years. I lived in Temple, but went to school (see image above) in the Belton area and would commonly go to their downtown area specifically. If someone else were researching this place, they'd find it through the official City of Belton website that highlights the historical and commercial landmarks of the area. This location shows a change in routine and daily life because a minimum of five days a week were spent predominantly in this area for me, especially in the downtown area that this location is known for (see image below), but I have since moved on to a completely new and different environment. Mapping this place reveals how a small, ordinary place can carry a lot of significance, and it also shows just how far I have gone in the transitionary period of my life between high school and college.

The Gin, located in downtown Belton.
