Passages - Secret Histories

Type: Gallery Image | Not Vetted

This photo represents the many extensive and dark passageways in the palace in which secret histories and traumas are hidden. This highlights the central theme of layered identities within our project. This photo also represents Mughal architecture in India.

"I cannot now say where. What endless dark and narrow passages, what long corridors, what silent and solemn audience-chambers and close secret cells I crossed!" (Tagore, Rabindranath, (The Hungry Stones)  Haunting Imperial (Non)Sense: What Cannot Be Captured in the Victorian Ghost Story)
