Roe Head school and Mirfield is significant to the film Jane Eyre (2011) because they represent important stages in Jane's growth and independence. At Roe Head, Jane becomes a teacher and starts building a life for herself. At Mirfield, Jane finds safety with the Rivers family after leaving Thornfield, showing her ability to start over and make her own choices. I found this information from an OpenLearn ebook. This source is an example of singular authorship because it was created by one singular person, Charlotte Brontë. Others cannot go in and add their own thoughts or ideas. Charlotte was the only one to write this novel/ebook. The source revolves around her life and experiences as the author of the novel. Mapping this location on COVE adds a grassroots layer to a story usually told top-down because they relate to the day-to-day activities of Jane, her education, work, and social interactions as opposed to big events or people. These locations bring out the story from Jane's individual and normal point of view, as opposed to viewing the story from above.
