“Sagrada Família, Basilica and Expiatory Church of the Holy Family” by Antoni Gaudi

Type: Gallery Image | Not Vetted

The building has a very complex vaulted ceiling. The textures that make up the building are unique to its own. When looking at the outside surface of the building, you see many different carvings all over. Every inch of this building has a creative carving that gives the building depth and volume. As you look up, you can see all the intricate artwork that has been created. It is unbelievable to see the tiny little pieces on the building that the artists had to engrave. The amount of time put into making the beautiful windows, with all of their various circles and ovals. The building also heavily emphasizes arches. Arches provide strong support for the building. When we have very grand buildings, they must be created on a firm foundation and with durable materials that will also last over time. The arches are aesthetically pleasing and help keep the building in the condition that it is in. The building is made up of natural-looking colors.
