Landscape jeff

Type: Gallery Image | Not Vetted

These photos where taken while I was sitting on my porch waiting for the mail. I recently filled my hummingbird feeders and I managed to capture some photos of the little angels. My first photo feels innocent to me because I was quick and did not focus on composition or grace. The birds moved fast so I wanted to catch as much of them as possible. The second photo is framed as I zoomed in on a specific bird and waited for the right time to photo it. I wanted to try and capture a "pose" of the bird, with it's wings out and looking in profile. I also tried to have it contrast to the wires in the background, and use the trees and feeds as a "curve" to guide the eyes around the photo. The argument I make in the third is the content and unbothered attitude of the hummers as they flew through a more artificial part of the woods, through all the cables and wires, just to drink from a plastic and glass feeder. They are not picky about how they survive. They also don't seem to mind someone walking around with their phone pointed at them.
