The United States Magazine and Democratic Review, was a highly respected journal that feautured political essays, and it was primarily a literary magazine that promoted thr development of American literature. EBB's "A Drama of Exile" was originally issued in two differernt installments in the July and August 1844 issues of this magazine.

This Museum has a lot of memorabilia of the Woman's suffrage movement. It is also where members of the Women’s Social and Political Union attended a breakfast here celebrating Emmeline Pankhurst following her release from prison.
