One of the final times Dickinson traveled out of the family estate, she spent April to November of 1864 in Cambridge, MA receiving treatment for a debilitating eye condition by the area’s opthamologist, Dr. Henry Willard Williams. 

This is where Emily Dickinson attended school for just one year after attended Amherst Academy (now no longer existing) for seven years. It is now currently Mount Holyoke College for women.

This is the house where Emily resided from ages nine to twenty-four, this house was right near a cemetery and Emily is said to have found a lot of inspiration for her poems from it, especially after witnessing multiple deaths and having some of those people buried there. 

This is where Emily was born and spent most of her life. She lived in this house before moving to the Pleasant Street house and eventually moved back. In the last two decades of her life she did not leave the estate.
