Almack's was a group of social clubs in London between the 18th and 20th centuries, with its most famous club located in assembly rooms on King Street, St. James's, in the City of Westminster (London, England).

Is not the "pet parson," too, of some West End Puseyite Chapel as ethically and physically different from the London prize-fighter, and he again from the City Alderman, as is the Mongol from the Negro, or the Negro from the Red Indian."
