By the time the quintessential Romantic poet William Wordsworth (1770-1850) died, he was England's Poet Laureate, and he was revered by people of Victorian England. This wood engraving of Wordsworth's grave illustrated an 1860 article titled "A Group of Graves" in Once a Week magazine (vol. 3, p. 273). This image is in the Public Domain.

We Are Seven

here are the photo's commemorating the poem, "We Are Seven". The first is of Conwy, or Conway as it is spelled in the poem, castle for the two who dwell in Conway. Then a sailing ship for the two who are out at sea. lastly I found a picture of the Parish Churchyard in Conwy where the poem were to have taken place. there is actually a wrought Iron plaque that states, "We Are Seven" and has been connected with the poem for more than eighty years. William Wordsmith wrote this poem in 1798 and said that the inspiration for this poem had been from a conversation with a girl in Goodrich Castle...
Tintern Abbey

The Tintern Abbey is a monastic ruin in Wales. Although it has been added to since then, the oldest parts of the abbey date back to the 12th century. As it appears now, the dating of the abbey being built is between 1269 and 1301. It is notably impressive today for being almost complete, missing only the roof, windows, and internal divisions. The church was very much affected by the Black Death in 1348 due to people not wanting to come near enough to keep up the work on it. Coleridge

Samuel Coleridge was buried in St Michael's Churchyard Highgate, London Borough of Camden, Greater London, England. He died July 25th  1834 at 61 years of age. He was born in Ottery St. Mary in Devonshire England, Coleridge was the youngest of ten children. He studied in London at charity school. He lost 2 siblings and he got sick, he believed it was because of us of Laudanum which was a commonly used drug that made him addicted to it. Coleridge was one of the most famous poets at the age of romanticism.
The Bastille

This watercolor painting depicts the storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789. Following years of discontent, a mob stormed the Bastille prison in hopes of finding large ammunition stores. The prison governor resisted and was killed, marking the beginning of the French Revolution. Within years, much of France's nobility would be executed or forced into exile and new ideals of liberty were jettisoned into place. The Revolution created a wave effect across much of the Western world which illuminated historically aristocratic countries such as Great Britain as places that might experience...
We Are Seven

"We Are Seven" is a poem by William Wordsworth and was published circa 1798. The two images that I chose are a picture of Goodrich castle and a little girl. The girl is supposed to represent the little girl from the poem "We Are Seven." Goodrich castle is a place that Wordsworth visited. From my research, this castle was apart of the inspiration behind "We Are Seven." Or possibly that Wordsworth met a little girl from that area. The images above are to give an image that can connect our reading to a real place and what the little girl may have looked like.
