This is a part of my final presentation project where I will discuss the prevalence of female writers during the majority of Shakespeare's writing career.  

This timeline is for John Paul Notte's final presentation. It will dates and events which either occur within or directly relate to the novels Christ in Concrete by Pietro di Donato and "The Odyssey of a WOP" by John Fante. It will also include different historical events which relate to the Italian American experience

In this project, as I'm looking at the trends in gender and sexuality, one important aspect that I found was the influence of the culture of that time period on how or why women in particular were written or regarded in a certain way. Memphis's most remembered incident of racial injustice, The Curve on March 5th, 1892, which led to the Memphis Free Speech. 

We'll use this timeline to list important dates in the 19th century in both Britain and the United States and to see those dates in relation to the periodicals we're discussing and history around them.
