While reading through Bleak House, I am still trying to pinpoint what I want to focus on, but it has proven to be an interesting read. The interactions of the characters and the way that they react to their new surroundings and ever changing circumstances is so intriguing to me. I have yet to focus in on one historical aspect, but every historical aspect presented in the book is experienced differently between the characters and their reactions and how they choose to live through this time is fascinating. 

I looked into some images of Jo the sweeper because his character interested me when reading Bleak House. Then I did some research to further understand how Jo's character contributed to the novel as a whole. Looking into Jo's character gave me a greater understanding of how the poor were treated in 19th century due to class division. An issueI encountered with this assignment was finding an image that met the size criteria for COVE. Other than this technical issue, I didn't encounter any comprehensive issues with my research.

There is a lot to look at while reading Bleak House by Charles Dickens. I have noticed multiple different things such as the use of opium and filth of the city. One thing that continually is prominant to me are the different roles of women throught the novel. Yu see the religious missionaries, verses the more uptight strong women. You also see the weak woen as well. My focus will be on the different social and marital constructs of the women throughout the novel and the men as that is important as well.

Throughout my reading of Bleak House I have been focusing on the many different aspects of the book and how they have changed or evolved in modern times. This makes the book far more intriguing for me to read because I am constantly trying to make connection from the novel to something that I see everyday. Sometimes this can be difficult because I sometimes struggle to put myself into the narritive of the book and understand how the people are feeling, but I feel I have had much success noticing the more obvious points that relate to today.
