Carleton University has been supporting COVE annually by providing CA$2,500 to support graduate students from Carleton who complete COVE work after training.

Ryerson University was the first founding Canadian university of the COVE Consortium and has provided CA$2,500 per year to support graduate students from Ryerson who complete COVE work after training.

The Curb Center for Art, Enterprise and Public Policy has supported COVE with an annual grant of $2,000 that can be used for software development and technical support.

The Sunda Strait is the strait between the Indonesian islands of Java and Sumatra. It connects the Java Sea to the Indian Ocean.

Rodrigues Island is a small volcanic island in the Indian Ocean, east of Mauritius, of which it is a territory. In 1691, French Huguenots landed on the island, intending to set up a farming colony.
