Y90s Print and Performance

This map is comprised of various locations representing key components of the Y90s Print and Performance project within London. This tool, provided by COVE, visualizes the physical proximity of Ellen Terry and Edith Craig to the Y90s periodical contributors. The map also shows important landmarks to the Y90s Print and Performance project such as theatres, publishers, and costume studios. The map visualizes just how far Terry's networks reached.

Cardiff

Cardiff is the capital city of Wales and is located in Glamorgan county. Until the Roman conquest of Britain, Cardiff was a territory of the Silures, a Celtic British tribe.

Beijing

Formerly known as Peking, Beijing is the capital of the People’s Republic of China. It is one of the oldest cities in the world with a history dating back at least three millennia.

Urbania

Urbania is a comune in the Pesaro e Urbino province of the Italian region of Le Marche. In 1631, it joined the Papal States and the name “Urbania” is a reference to Pope Urban VIII.

Cádiz

Cádiz is a port city in southwestern Spain. It was founded by Phoenicians from Tyre in Lebanon around 1104 BC. In the sixteenth century, it became the home port of the treasure fleet of the Spanish Empire.

Lisbon

Lisbon is the capital city of Portugal, located at the mouth of the Tagus river on the country’s west coast. It is one of the oldest cities in Europe, and is home to the twelfth-century Lisbon Cathedral. In the sixteenth century, Lisbon was a commerce hub.

Quebec

Quebec is a province in eastern Canada. French settlement in the region began in the sixteenth century, and the province remains predominantly French-speaking.
