Isle of Dogs

The Isle of Dogs is a peninsula in the River Thames in East London, in the modern borough of Tower Hamlets (London, England). The area was originally known as Stepney Marsh. In the early 19th century, the Isle of Dogs was used as an industrial space for docks and factories, including the construction of the West India Docks in 1802 and East India Docks in 1806.

Likely refers to East India House, which was the London headquarters of the East India Company in Leadenhall street in the City of London (London, England). The building was demolished in 1861.

Hungerford Market

Hungerford Market was a produce market at Charing Cross, on the Strand, in the City of Westminster, UK. The original market building was constructed in 1682 and replaced in 1832. The market was severely damaged when the adjoining lecture theatre, Hungerford Hall, burned down in 1854. In 1864, Charing Cross railway station was opened on the site of the market.

Hull

Kingston upon Hull (usually called Hull) is a port city in Yorkshire, England. As a port city, in the 19th century it was the site of industries such as passenger shipping and emigration of European settlers to North America as well as commercial shipping and the Wilson Line of Hull, which was by the early 20th century the largest privately owned shipping company in the world. Much of the city was bombed during World War II and subsequently rebuilt.

Hoxton

Hoxton is an area in the modern borough of Hackney (London, England), often considered to be part of the East End. Once the site of Tudor manor houses, the area became developed and urbanized in the 19th century and the area became a centre for the furniture trade and working-class housing.
