SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry

This is the primary location that Robin Wall Kimmerer teaches botany. This is where she practices what she has learned from here tribe as for taking care of nature along with acting as a place for her to spread her knowledge to apply into botany. This allows her to spread influence through both other members of faculty and students that she interacts with. Obviously this is important because of the low numbers within her tribe but it is also important in how it can change how people view the things that they interact with every day, especially in nature. 

Gila Indian Reservation

This is the Gila River Indian Reservation Community that the writer of "When My Brother Was an Aztec" Natalie Diaz considers herself to be a part of and works hard to make sure her culture and language are not forgotten and end up extinct like so many other cultures and languages that ended because of westerners who forced many Native American tribes to forget their cultures, languages, and so much more. It was created back in 1859 and it is located close to Phoenix, Arizona. The population of the preservation is 12,179 according to the last U.S. Census conducted a few years back.
