Claremont Park

Claremont Park is said to have inspired Mr. Knightley's estate, Donwell Abbey. Jane Austen likely visited in 1813, which may have influenced the setting for her character Mr. Kightley. At the time the property belonged to the Prince Regent, future King George IV, which Austen dedicate Emma to him.
