Piccalidy Circus

The Piccadilly Circus was built in 1819 to be an intersection in London. It became a huge public place, crowded with shops and entertainment everywhere. During the Victorian era, Piccadilly Circus was able to represent the city life where people were constantly around others but still strangers.

Langham Place Circle

The Langham Place Circle is important to identity and belonging because it was a location for Victorian women to be able to go to support one another as well as challenge the idea that their sole purpose was to take care of the home and children, being wives and mothers. This place helped women be able to build their own sense of belonging within the Women's Suffrage Act, where they could speak out, share ideas, and fight for their rights.
