The Transatlantic Voice of Feminism in the Victorian Age

This project explores how Feminism began to gain momentum through novels in the Victorian age by examining passages in Fanny Fern’s  Ruth Hall, and Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre.  By examining these novels, we would present a view on how the emerging feminist movement allowed Victiorian women writers to find and use their voice to fight against their oppressors.
