Tyre and Sidon- Voyage

Tyre is a town on the Medieteranian Coast of Southern Lebanon. It is located 12 miles north of the boarder of Isreal and South of Sidon. Sidon is a administrative centre for fishing, trade, market, and agricultural endevore for the area. It also served as the TransArabian Pipeline from Saudi Arabia and was the site of the large oil storage tanks. The towns have references in biblical text all the way through modern times, taking the title of the UNESCO World Heritage center in 1982. With a significant amount of history, the town is referenced through many literary works. 

England (“Colonization”)

The earliest indication of human arrival in England occurred 900,000 years ago known as the time period of prehistory, which lasts till the Roman Invasion of AD 43. In AD 43 a full scale invasion of England was undertaken by the Roman Empire, who stayed in Britain for 4 centuries. The dark ages brought in the Englands identity and language as a kingdom. Moving through the centuries the British Empire took control in the Georgian era (the 1700s) along with becoming the world's first industrialized nation.

Chawton

Chawton is a small village in East Hampshire that Jane Austen moved to with her mother, sister, and Martha Lloyd, a friend of the family, on July 7, 1809. This small village now seems to be most famous for being the place where Jane Austen took up residence after leaving her birthplace of Steventon. She and her other female companions were offered the house, now a huge Austen-related tourist site as well as general location, as Chawton House, by Edward Austen, one of Jane's older brothers.

Glasgow

Glasgow is a city in Scotland. It is Scotland's most populous city and the fourth most populous city in the United Kingdom. The city is also Scotland's largest seaport. It was one of Britain's main hubs of trade with North America and the West Indies during the 18th century and onward, making it an integral city for the growth of the British Empire.

Dublin, Ireland (A Modest Proposal)

During or before the 7th century, the Gaels established a settlement in the area that is now Dublin, Ireland.  Today, Dublin is the capital of Ireland, as well as its largest city. During Swift's lifetime, Dublin was the second-largest city in the British Empire. All throughout the eighteenth century, Dublin saw great growth and development. In 1759, the Guinness brewery was founded in Dublin and soon became the largest brewery in the world as well as the largest employer in Dublin.
