Waziristan

Waziristan is a mountainous region located across the border between northwestern Pakistan and eastern Afghanistan. In 1894, the British entered the region, which had previously been controlled by the Afghan Empire, and divided it into North Waziristan and South Waziristan.

Chaman

Chaman is the capital of the Qilla Abdullah district in the province of Balochistan, Pakistan and is the province’s second largest city. Chaman is located on the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Balochistan

Balochistan is a province in southwestern Pakistan. Of the country’s five provinces, Balochistan is the largest in terms of land area. The capital is Quetta. Currently, the two largest ethnic groups living in the province are the Baloch people and the Pashtuns.

Chagai

Chagai is the capital city of the Chagai district in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. The British became involved in the area in 1878, and it remained under British control from 1899 to 1947.

Kafiristan

Kafiristan is a historical region in northwestern Afghanistan. The region was invaded by Amir Abdur Rahman Khan in 1895–96 and converted to Islam, and subsequently renamed Nuristan.

Hazarajat

The Hazarajat is a region in central Afghanistan inhabited by the Shia Hazara people. In the thirteenth century, Genhis Khan and his Mongol army invaded the region; the area has also been under control of the Timurid dynasty, the Mughal Empire, and the Durrani Empire.
