When entering this installation, you would be greeted by a forest. The room itself would be black on the outskirts, with trees growing out of the ground. The trees would almost be in a circle formation, with three trees placed in a triangle formation in the middle of the circle. The trees would be decorated with fairy lights throughout, both around the trees and across the ceiling, giving adequate lighting to the pieces on the three stand alone trees. On the middle tree would be Slugocki’s Polski: Przebudzenie. Wiosna. At the base of the tree, there...
In my installation I will have three paintings. The room will be dimly lit to keep a somber atmosphere, but each of the painting will have a spotlight shining on them. It will not be a bright white bulb. The light bulb will be a light-yellow hue so to pull out the colors of the paintings. The walls in the room will be eggshell colored. The first painting the visitors will see in the room will be the Chloe suspended from the ceiling in the middle of the room. The Model by the Wicker Chair will be mounted on the right wall. The Woman Bathing La Toilette will be mounted on the left wall. The...
For my display, I envision a small room with its walls and ceiling painted with soft pastel colors and shapes to match the style of the three paintings. I imagine that the three paintings would be arranged each on their own walls of the room with light amber frames, also with information about the piece and a small biography of the painter being written on a plaque next to each painting. I believe that the display would also have warm light shining on each painting and biography to make them pop out against the room's walls; also small trails of painted vines,...
L’erotisme Dans Le Nu is an exhibit portraying the raw innocent, eroticism of the nude. L’erotisme Dans Le Nu will be featured in a natural setting within an exhibit. The three images will each take up a wall’s worth of space. The paintings will merge together into the ceiling very naturally so that their skies all combine together to make one beautiful sky. The trees of the paintings will be three dimensional, jumping out of the walls and twisting and turning towards the sky framing the paintings. There should be shrubbery and plants along the bottom of the...
The walls and ceiling are painted a sky blue. The floor is dark green. Fake vines are hung from the tops of each of the walls, draping down and skimming the floor, which is covered in loose leaves. There are multiple round lights on the ceiling, so the room is well lit. Other thick clusters of short vines with blooming flowers hang from the ceiling at random intervals, none in front of the paintings. The back wall is not a wall but a thick curtain of vines that you cannot see through and splits the room in two. The sounds of nature play through...
A display for these three pieces would be as a walkthrough exhibit in a museum. What I mean by this is that the display area would be made that you must enter to see the paintings. This would be achieved through a trapezoidal wall setup with the short top being the buildings structural wall, two forty-five-degree walls protruding left and right, then a longer base that leaves room on the left and right corners for patrons to enter and then exit the exhibit. The pieces will be on display separately on the top of the trapezoidal setup facing the viewer. The...
The museum room would be pretty simple and relatively small to make the paintings the star of the room. The walls would be painted a neutral tan to keep the main focus on the paintings. I also feel that the tan walls would match the women’s naked bodies, which would make the room very cohesive and also would bring out the main take-away of this installation - different representations of nude women. Each of the paintings would be on a different wall with black frames to contrast with the tan walls. When you walk in, on the left wall would be Lady Godiva...
The room is completely white and rectangular, about a yard long. The three paintings are spaced out throughout the length of the corridor, with dates on the wall that show the passing of time from the 1800s to the 1920s. Significant events regarding women's rights and the history of the paintings lead the viewer through the exhibit. large, painted black cracks follow the corridor, growing until they cover the end of the room completely in black, floors and all. The final painting, Head of a Woman, is surrounded by this black void created by the wall, popping out as it has lighter colors...
Display Explanation- The way that I will set these up is having people zigzagging through the room. I will have a little bridge with old rusty ropes as railings, with water flowing underneath them. I will also have an outdoor/nature themed installation. I will put up a tree, flowers, and have the sound “Nature Sounds of a Forest River for Relaxing-Natural Soothing Sound of a Waterfall & Bird Sounds” by Johnnie Lawson playing in the background. The water will create some of the light while people walk through but the catch is, when the people walk by the images they will light up. I...
You walk in to art exhibit room that has a soft glow from lights. Small lights hang from the ceiling, emitting the soft glow. Clear paths to access the artwork are noticeable as you step closer into the room. It is a square room, with one painting each on the left, right, and center wall. The walls are cream colored, eventually fading into a light green color as it gets closer to the center wall. To the left and right walls, the ground is tiled white and along the walk way there are white silk sheets. They are spread and tumbled over the ground, creating what...
The name for my exhibit will be Equality. In this instillation these painting will be put in a very large and colorful room. Because these painting are about feminism, women sexuality and possibly lesbianism, there will be equality flags and colors from the LGBTQIA+. Pablo Picasso’s painting, Les Demoiselles d’Avignon is 8 ft tall and 8 ft wide, the painting will be kind of leaned against the wall, very casually just like how the women in the painting are posing. Gustav Klimt’s painting, Die Freundinnen, or The Girlfriends in English...
In this exhibit, you enter into a very large, darkened room until you reach the first image. This image (La Toilette) is the first image you see entering the room. The image is captured in a huge wood frame with a bright spotlight that captures the entire image. The only light in the room is on this image to catch the viewers attention directly at the first image. As you move on, you follow the lite flooring around a wall to the next pitcure. The next image the viewer sees is Berthe Morisot's "Before the mirror." This image is a bit smaller than the first image...
For my installation of the three images -– Red Nude (1917) by Amedeo Modigliani, Two Venetians (1893) by Eugen von Blaas, and Sitting Girl (1917) by Egon Schiele — I wanted to do something a little different. While many would expect the images to be displayed in a museum, I would want them displayed in a woman-owned business like a restaurant or something of that sort. I want them placed in the order of Red Nude, followed by Two Venetians, and finally, the Sitting Girl all paced on different walls. I would rather the paintings be large...
After opening a slim blue door with a tinge of yellow along the edges, guest will enter into a long narrow hallway. The length of this hallway is to demonstrate a long drawn out timeline. The narrowness of this hallway will make the guest feel as if they are almost trapped within the lengthy timeline, exactly how the woman in the paintings feels about her relationship. The guest will step onto a moving walkway that carries them very slowly from beginning to end. The excessively slow speed can give guest a chance to view the art while also representing how long...
As guests walk in through two wide red doors, they are welcomed into an almost dome-like room. Three walls are painted with a warm tan color, each has its painting, adjacent walls are open space. The paintings are suspended fifteen feet above the audience, hanging by strings. The artwork is all framed in simplistic black frames. This allows the attention to be directed to the paintings. The art angles slightly downwards onto the viewers. The paintings are displayed at an acute angle. The audience looks up to observe the paintings. The first one their attention...
Once you enter the installation the spectator will immediately notice that the floor and ceiling are mirrors. Mirrors reflects the surface appearance of people. However, it also reflects the truth. Meaning that the visitor will have to see themselves regardless of where they look. In that way, the spectator is able to see both their outer and inner persona. Once they do and read the brochure provided by the gallery, they will be able to unintentionally think about their persona’s and it will become an experience for them through art. They will follow the signs...
The installation for these three pieces will be located in a room with only three walls, symbolizing the shape of a triangle. Each painting will be located on one of the walls. Meaning that it will be one painting per wall. All of the paintings will be hung in the center of the walls. All images will maintain their original size and have a golden frame. Inspired on the first painting, the walls will have a light blue color and have a design from the times that anticipated the first world war. The images will have lights behind and above them. In that way, a...
